• Developed Virtual Eyes technical demo, a virtual reality real-estate marketing tool using DirectX 9.
• Implemented all aspects of engine including a scene graph using a BSP tree, mesh LOD and QuadTree terrain features, flexible shader system, efficient resource manager, DirectSound system, camera controls, particle engine, skeletal animations and collision.
• Researched and implemented popular effects such as reflective bump mapping, lightmapping, bloom and environment mapping.
• Authored specialized post processing and mesh effects to contribute to the reality of the scene.
• Worked closely with artist to produce an efficient art pipeline.

PROJECTS
aQuaterra Tech Demo

aQuaterra is a demonstration of my skills writing shaders and managing scenes. Major features include:

•Normal mapped water that blends reflection and refraction together through a fresnel term. The water also has blended shorelines, specular highlights, underwater scattering and caustics.
•Fish that follow a schooling behavior while avoiding collision with the environment.
•Grass system that allows extremely dense grass with minimal performance loss.
•Vegetation scheme that combines smooth LOD transitions with subtle animation for a realistic effect.
